Advocacy

The ECCI advocates and facilitates on behalf of members to protect business interests in Exmouth and its surrounds and to provide a secure future for the community. By promoting free enterprise and representing our members on a Local, State and Federal Government level the ECCI strive to make doing business easier in our region.

Influence

Your Chamber has assisted in the following –

  • Keeping 117,000 hectares of pastoral land and Mining tenements out the World Heritage listed area.
  • Deregulation of air services.
  • Creating a new tourism advertisement for National television -8 weeks of exposure on Foxtel.
  • Lobbying for more phone towers including the western side.
  • Service Workers accommodation initiative commenced by your chamber.
  • Continuous lobbying for upgrades to Minilya-Exmouth Road specifically the section to the airport.
  • Progressing the Deep Water port initiative for cruise ships.
  • Lobbying for a desalination plant for Exmouth.

Business After Hours Events

As a member of the ECCI you will have the opportunity to host a “Business After Hours“ event to showcase your business and give the local business community an insight into your products and services. The host of the “BaH” gives a short presentation to introduce themselves and their business which is followed by the opportunity for all attending members to network and build upon relationships within the business sector.

Hosting a “BaH” provides an excellent opportunity to raise your business profile and promote your products and services. New businesses benefit from the ability to introduce their business to an established network.

The Committee

The current ECCI committee comprises of members who represent a wide variety of industry and many of whom are long term residents who have been instrumental in the promotion and growth of the business sector within the town of Exmouth. All of our committee are happy to discuss your business concerns or issues with you and will work to assist in finding a beneficial solution for you through the ECCI network.

Application Form

To the Executive Committee,
I wish to apply for membership of the Exmouth Chamber of Commerce and Industry. An applicant shall be accepted for active membership upon review and approval of the application by the committee.

Bronze Membership = $220 inc GST, Silver Membership = $2,000 (over 100 employees), Gold Membership (Corporate) = $5,000.00. Voluntary contributions welcome, memberships are renewed each financial year.

Gold Membership includes: Representation and lobbying of ECCI member interests to key stakeholders, subscription to the ECCI Database, promotion as a preferred ECCI supplier, advertising through website and Facebook (social media platforms), invitations to business forums, Business After Hours and ECCI hosted events, sponsorship and advertising opportunities at various projects and events, access to a broad and dynamic business network, two sponsored Business After Hours events per calendar year, recipient of ECCI membership certificate, corporate logo on membership certificates.
